(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Pakistan is celebrating religious festival 'Eid-al-Adha' on Monday with religious zeal, fervor and festivity across the country.
Muslims across the country offered Eid prayers in the mosques and Eidgahs praying for the solidarity of the country and peace.
President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, while greeting the whole nation on Eid-al-Adha has called upon them to promote the spirit of sacrifice, affection, tolerance, patience and brotherhood.
The nation celebrates the day, which is all about the spirit of sacrifice by slaughtering animals in the name of Allah following the Sunnah of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). Many northern and tribal areas of Pakistan as well as neighboring country Afghanistan celebrated Eid a day earlier on Sunday.
