American job market improves in September


(MENAFN) The U.S Labor Department said that the country's economy is showing signs of improvements due to a an increase in the number of jobs being added in September, and the jobless rate falling to the lowest level since July 2008, Xinhua reported.

The Department said that during the January-July period, the job gains have been above 200,000, with these jobs being mostly in the private sector in its longest streak of gains since the economic crisis.

During the January-September period, private employment has risen by nearly 2 million, which could result in the strongest year of private-sector job growth since 1998.

Meanwhile, the U.S. economy grew 4.6 percent in the April-June period, mostly helped by solid growth of personal consumption and private investment and it is expected that the economy will increase by more than 3 percent during the July-December period of 2014.
