Riyadh prisoners take benefit from services
(MENAFN- Arab News) Riyadh Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz inspected the prisons in Malaz and Haer on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and said that the inmates are receiving good services and treatment from jail authorities.
'We can't have the luxury of home in prisons' the governor said while emphasizing Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Naif's efforts to improve the conditions in Saudi jails.
He said that he found that the prisoners at Haer and Malaz were satisfied with their living conditions. 'Prince Mohammed bin Naif is keen on implementing programs that are beneficial to the prisoners and will develop their skills and capabilities' he said.
Prince Turki was received on his arrival at Haer prison by Maj. Gen. Musaed bin Sallab Al-Ruwaily director of prisons in the region.
The governor met with the prisoners and inquired about their requirements. He also wished them a happy Eid Al-Adha. He visited the library at Haer Prison and inquired about the system followed to lend books to prisoners.
At Malaz Prison Prince Turki was greeted by Col. Salman Al-Otaibi director of the prison who spoke about the programs to educate prisoners and develop their capabilities.
Prince Turki conveyed Eid Al-Adha greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman deputy premier and minister of defense to prisoners and security officers.
