Turkish President Holds Telephone Contact with US Vice President


(MENAFN- QNA) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today spoke over the phone with US Vice President Joe Biden on bilateral relations and the current developments in Syria and Iraq.

During the contact, Erdogan underlined the need for the adoption of a joint strategy in the region and the joint struggle against terrorism. They also discussed the issue of the Syrian refugees who fled from Syrian over the past period.

Erdogan also called for the announcement of a no-fly zone on the borders in the Syrian territory to find a solution to the Syrian refugees disaster.

For his part, Biden praised Turkey for the opening of its doors for those fleeing chaos and for providing assistance to them.
