Iraqi Military Helicopter Crashes in Salaheddin Province


(MENAFN- QNA) An Iraqi military sources announced that an Iraqi army helicopter crashed last night near Beiji refinery in Salaheddin province in northern Iraq.

The pilot and co-pilot of the Mi-35 aircraft were reportedly killed in the attack which happened between the towns of Beiji and al Senniyah in northern Iraq.

The source added the international coalition dealt accurate and effective strikes against Daash organization east of Ratba town in the west Iraqi province of Anbar causing heavy losses of life and equipment.

It added that a joint military forces detonated five booby-trapped houses in Al-Fadhliya area north of Al-Hilla town in southern Iraq.

Iraqi intelligence forces started massive deployment as part of Eid Al-Adha security plan to confront attacks waged by militants in Iraq.
