Qatar's Grand Mart signs deal with restaurant chain


(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  Grand Mart, a leading and fast-growing business group based in Qatar, has signed an agreement with Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House, a Filipino-themed mid-price range casual dining restaurant chain to become the master franchisor for the restaurant chain in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Myanmar.

The first phase of expansion will start with outlets opening in Manama and Dammam by March 2015, followed by Muscat and Yangon.

The contract signing ceremony was held at Astoria Plaza hotel in Pasig City, the Philippines.

Grand Mart has operations in Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India.

The group signed an agreement with Dragon Mart Complex of Qatar in June this year for opening a 5,000 square metre hypermarket. The upcoming hypermarket, named Smile Hypermarket, is slated for launch in January 2015.
