Rice meets with Indian National Security Advisor


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) National Security Advisor Susan Rice and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Thursday to follow-up on President Obama's meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week.

The two discussed how the countries can, "best build on the accomplishments from the Prime Minister's visit to Washington to strengthen the US-India strategic partnership for the benefit of citizens in both countries and beyond," according to a White House statement.

The leaders additionally exchanged, "views on regional developments, including cooperating on maritime security and the importance of reinforcing stability in Afghanistan after the inauguration of a new National Unity Government this week".

Finally, they both agreed to work together to address the Ebola outbreak in West Africa and the spread of violence
