Gen Mohammed reviews progress of govt projects

Continuous delivery of sustainable development requires a state-of-the-art infrastructure that keeps pace with the development that the UAE is witnessing in implementation of the directives of the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan said General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.



General Shaikh Mohammed made this remark during a meeting of the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee in the Capital in the presence of Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the executive council. During the meeting General Shaikh Mohammed reviewed the progress of the current projects undertaken by the Abu Dhabi Government. He instructed that all efforts be mobilised to implement these projects on par with best international practices in the set time-frame.



General Shaikh Mohammed reviewed the plans prepared by the Department of Municipal Affairs to improve the health environment of Abu Dhabi city particularly in areas of landscaping lawns and gardens through the awarding of contracts worth more than Dh426 million.



After viewing a presentation on the capacity of the electricity network in the emirate he approved the construction of five combined distribution stations; supply and installation of power cables; electric equipment; digital power metres; overhead power lines; and network upgrades at a total cost of over Dh268 million.
