Arab League Chief Meets South Sudan FM


(MENAFN- QNA) The Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi on Thursday met with South Sudan Foreign Minister Bernaba Nenjamin.

Benjamin said in remarks following the meeting, that he has informed the Dr. Al-Arabi on the coordination between his country and Egypt as well as south Sudan's relations with Arab countries.

The purpose of the meeting with Al-Arabi is to promote coordination with Arab countries, he said adding that South Sudan is open for Arab investments, particularly in the fields of agriculture, transport, infrastructure, tourism and electricity.

He pointed that Arab League is preparing for holding a conference on the investment in South Sudan, to strengthen the Arab-African relations.

On his country's relations with Sudan, Benjamin said they are good. The two countries agreed to that dialogue should be the means for solving all the issues between them, he added pointing to the ongoing contacts between Sudan's President Omar Al-Bashir and South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
