Lebanese Minister: Setting Camps for Displaced Syrians in Lebanon out of Discussions


(MENAFN- QNA) Lebanese Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbas stressed on Thursday that the cabinet is destined to achieve solidarity and overcome disagreements.

Derbas told (Voice of Lebanon) radio that setting camps for the displaced Syrians has been a controversial issue; accordingly, it was taken out of discussions.

The minister noted that currently discussions featured on moving the camps from Arsal town to its outskirts, pointing that this issue doesn't need a cabinet's decision as it is within the authorities of the Interior Minister.

Responding to a question whether the cabinet might accept the principal of swap over the security members file, Derbas ruled out the possibility of taking such a decision.
