Kuwait- Labor minister to form panel for tackling fake recruitment


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Oct 1 (Agencies): Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Planning Affairs Hind Al- Sabeeh on Wednesday issued a decree to form a committee for addressing the phenomenon of fake recruitment and related issues.

According to the decree the committee focuses on discussing studying and specifying the size of that phenomenon as well as its reasons. The panel also is formed to get acquainted with decisions and laws related to the fake recruitment and provide scientific concepts to put an end to that phenomenon.

The committee has the right to consult with any expert and specialist in this field and would provide a detailed report on its final results according to the decree. Minister Al-Sabeeh will chair the committee which includes also Secretary General of Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Fawzi Al-Majdali and the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs Dr Matar Al-Mutairi.

Some other experts and officials are also included in the panel. Meanwhile Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) is about to take serious measures and decisions against nearly 50 foreign companies that have direct commercial transactions with Israeli settlers on Palestinian lands reports Al- Qabas daily quoting reliable sources as saying.

The move follows a letter the Ministry of Foreign Affairs submitted to Ministry of Commerce which included the list of names and details of the alleged companies and commercial institutes sources added indicating the ministry will take necessary action preventing the companies from dealing with settlers as per recommendations of the special executive committee of Arab Foreign Affairs Ministers.

They added the commendation was issued after the Islamic Cooperation Organization presented a suggestion emphasizing the need to boycott the companies having dealings with Israel as she violates the rights of Palestinians citing UN conventions in that regard as well as international laws. It is worth mentioning 10 German companies 7 French 4 Belgian 18 Dutch 2 Irish 4 Italian and 3 Swedish companies in addition to Danish and a Spanish company have direct commercial transactions with Israeli settlers.
