Jason Neufeld a miami personal injury lawyer with Neufeld Kleinberg & Pinkiert PA has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Ancient Spanish Monastery (ASM) located in North Miami Beach. The ASM is the oldest building in the western hemisphere.
The ASM was initially constructed in 1141 AD in northern Spain. After a revolution in the 1830s the monastery was sold - only to be repurchased by William Randolph Hearst in 1925 where the cloisters and buildings were dismantled stone-by-stone and shipped to the US. In 1952 they were purchased and in painstaking detail reconstructed in North Miami Beach. In 1953 Time magazine labeled it the “biggest jig-saw puzzle in history.”
“It’s an honor for me to serve on the board of what I like to call: the best-kept secret in South Florida” Neufeld said. “It is my goal to help increase awareness for this historical icon which I believe should be a top Miami tourist attraction.”
Jason Neufeld is currently the president of the North Dade Bar Association and also serves on the Board of Directors for the North Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Neufeld is an alumnus of Leadership Broward Foundation Class XXXII a member of the Ft. Lauderdale Historical Society Aventura Marketing Council and the Florida Justice Association. He is also actively involved with ARC Broward.
