Oman keen on investing in Cyprus: Report


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman has shown interest to invest in Cyprus especially in the field of research and exploitation of natural gas the Cyprus News Agency reported on Tuesday.

The report quoted H E Mohammed al Rumhi Oman's Minister of Oil and Gas as saying that Oman is interested in investments in Cyprus after a meeting with Cyprus' Minister of Energy Giorgos Lakkotrypis who was on a one-day visit to Oman.

The Cypriot minister held a series of meetings with Omani ministers including Minister of Tourism H E Ahmed al Mehrizi and Minister of Commerce and Industry H E Ali al Sunaidy.

During his meeting with H E Rumhi Lakkotrypis discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of renewable energy sources and natural gas. According to the report H E Rumhi said that Oman is interested in investing in research and exploitation of natural gas and sought Cyprus' help in the field of renewable energy sources.
