Takatuf Oman celebrates first batch of HR Academy graduates


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Takatuf Oman the human capital solutions provider for Oman Oil Company (OOC) and its group of companies recently saw the first batch of candidates graduate from its HR Academy the first-of-its-kind programme in the region designed to accelerate the development of leaders and HR professionals.

Conducted in partnership with the RBL Group a global firm specialised in building high-performing firms that achieve results in the marketplace the HR Academy in its pilot year has developed the competencies of 49 decision-makers to meet the growing business needs of 18 public and private sector companies across the sultanate.

To celebrate their accomplishments a graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of H E Nasser bin Khamis al Jashmi Undersecretary in the Ministry of Financial Affairs and chairman of OOC. The event also included a round table discussion with the participation of senior management from OOC and its member companies with Professor Dave Ulrich the global HR management guru to discuss current and upcoming HR challenges in their companies.

'Takatuf Oman has established the HR Academy as a competence framework to produce high calibre HR leaders with top-notch expertise and capable of delivering the highest levels of expectations especially in constructing effective business strategies. In addition this development experience is meant to equip HR professionals with agile HR operating tools to support both senior management and staff in implementing and achieving goals of their organisations' said Eng Isam al Zadjali CEO of Oman Oil Company.

He added 'With this first batch of graduates from the HR Academy we are looking to create a talent infrastructure attuned to fast-paced and demanding work environments while fashioning a culture of shared values and human resources capability.'

Launched in January this year the HR Academy trained HR employees in four modules over the course of eight months and as part of two development streams Leaders Track and Professionals Track. Both tracks focused on practices to conduct advanced processes faster and more accurately to improve Employer Value Proposition.
