A man went into a diabetic coma after his wife locked him up in the bathroom in a bid to prevent him from visiting his second wife. The 50-year-old Arab man made a distress call to the Dubai Unified Ambulance telling them that he was on the verge of unconsciousness.
When paramedics reached his house his wife tried to convince them to not help her husband as she “wanted to teach him a lesson because he remarried”.
The man however did not press charges after the Dubai Police helped him settle the dispute amicably with his wife. He told the police that he called the ambulance to save his life and not for the police to take action against his wife. The wife apologised later and said she did not mean to harm him.
