Saudi's SEC signs USD682m contracts for Riyadh metro

(MENAFN) Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) announced it has signed USD682.5 million worth of contracts to supply power to the Riyadh Metro, which is currently under construction, Arab News reported.

The seven contracts were signed in order to build stations and lay cables for the rail system in the Saudi capital, which is due to be completed in 2019.

These contracts come after the government awarded deals worth USD22.5 billion to three foreign-led consortia for the design and construction of the metro last July.
