QU to Host Computer Applications Conference


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar University's (QU) Department of Computer Science and Engineering will organize and host the 11th edition of the ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA), the university announced Tuesday.

The conference is an international forum for researchers and practitioners interested in the advances of computer systems and their applications.

The event will be held from November 10 to 13 under the patronage of HE the Minister of Information and Communication Technology Dr Hessa Bint Al Jaber and under the scientific patronage of the ACS and IEEE institutions.

College of Engineering (CENG) Dean Dr Rashid Alammari and ICTQatar head of marketing and public relations Hussain Abdulla Salatt announced details of the conference The AICCSA comes with international recognition and will see the participation of researchers from 33 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, and from US and Australia with several keynote speakers from prestigious institutions such as Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (US), and the scientific and organizational involvement of local partner institutions QCRI, ictQATAR and Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF).

QU students will participate in the conference activities to benefit from opportunities to network with international students, professors and industry professionals, and deepen their knowledge of current and emerging ICT fields, QU said.
