Qatar Exchange Index Drops 115.77 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchange index slipped back into the red when the bourse closed trading at 13,728.31 points, down 115.77 points (-0.84%) here Tuesday.

The trading value increased to QR 811.267 Million from QR 605.599 Million registered Monday.

The trading volume almost doubled to 23,160,257 shares from 7,617 transactions compared to 12,052,160 shares from 5,507 transactions on Monday.

The market capitalization dropped to QR 736.069 Billion from QR 737.8 Billion registered Monday.

Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today, barring consumer goods and services which gained 14.66 points (+0.20%) when it closed at 7,505.7 points today. Telecoms sector index dropped 21.19 points (-1.26%) when it closed at 1,660.07 points.

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 42 saw trading today. From these 22 ended lower, 16 gained and four remained unchanged.
