S. Korea's industrial output dips 0.6 percent in August


(MENAFN) A governmental report showed that South Korea's industrial output registered a dip for the first time in three months, signaling a poor growth of the economy, Xinhua reported.

Production in all sectors of industry declined by 0.6 percent in the month of August from a month earlier, the first decline in three months, according to Statistics Korea.

Output in construction, service and public administration sectors increased 1 percent, 0.3 percent and 7.2 percent respectively, while production in the mining and manufacturing industry fell 3.8 percent.
