Toyota USA recalls 690,000 defective units
(MENAFN) Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. announced recalling 690,000 Tacoma 4x4 and Tacoma pre-runner pickups over rear suspension system issues, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The defect could lead the vehicles to the broken leaf coming in contact with surrounding components, including the fuel tank, causing a leak with could result in a fire, Toyota Motor said.
"The involved vehicles' rear suspension system contains leaf springs that are constructed of either three or four leaves. There is a possibility that a leaf could fracture due to stress and corrosion," Toyota said.
