Bahraini Foreign Minister Hails Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Initiative of Egypt's Economic Conference

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, commends the initiative taken by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz by announcing the convening of Egypt€„¢s economic summit with a view to supporting Egypt and its economic development.
This came in his speech before the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York today.
'Our region traverses an extremely difficult phase, if not the most difficult, in its modern history, in which a state of instability, chaos, tension and savage, bloody and unprecedented terrorism prevails,' the Bahraini Foreign Minister said.
Sheikh Khalid said that among challenges facing the region is emergence of terrorist groups which thrive in our region with greater savagery and callousness.
'The second challenge to the security and stability of our region is represented by political avidity, and attempts to impose hegemony in disregard of the sovereignty of states and to interfere in their internal affairs. All the countries of the region, without exception, have suffered from this as a result of attempts to export seditious revolutions and to train terrorists in violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations,' he added.
