Qatar Exchange Index Swings Back into Green Zone


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchange index reversed its downward movement Monday and came back into the green zone with a slight gain of 9.07 points (+0.07%) when the bourse closed at 13,844.08 points.

The trading value of QR 605.599 Million today is more than double of QR 277.654 Million registered Sunday.

The trading volume almost doubled to 12,052,160 shares from 5,507 transactions from Sunday's 6,084,223 shares from 3,204 transactions.

The market capitalization dropped to QR 737.8 Billion from QR 738.296 Billion registered Sunday.

Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today, barring banks and financial sector which gained 10.19 points (+0.30%) when it closed at 3,392.26 points today. Telecoms sector index dropped 13.18 points (-0.78%) when it closed at 1,681.26 points.

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 21 ended lower, 13 gained and seven remained unchanged.
