China's economy contributed 12.3 percent of global economy in 2013


(MENAFN) The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), showed that the Chinese economy contributed about 12.3 percent of the world total in 2013, QNA reported.

The country's GDP registered USD9.32 trillion in 2013. GDP per capita was USD6,81 trillion. However, that indicates remarkable progresses from 1952,
when GDP was USD11.04 billion and GDP per capita was USD19.36 billion.

From 1953 to 2013, China's GDP increased 122 times at comparable prices, with annual average growth of 8.2 percent.

The service sector has been growing remarkably. In 1952, agriculture took about 51% of the total economy, followed by the service sector with about 28 percent and industry at 21 percent.
