(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) is preparing to launch Active Qatar Campaign (AQC) by the end of the year, according to an official bulletin released Monday.
The AQC is one of the key projects of Qatar Sport Sector Strategy (2011-2016).
The pioneering project testifies Qatar's push for sustainable development for the community.
The QOC has set up an organising committee and sub-committees to oversee the project. It has defined the objectives and tasks for the project under the supervision of the committee's Executive Director Mohammed Essa Al Fadallah.
The project's organizing committee is holding a series of meetings to follow up the progress of the work and plans required to organise the campaign which will continue up to March 2015.
The AQC comprises 30 activities throughout the year. It includes sports events, entertainment programmes targeting people of all age groups (male and female) and people with special needs.
