Qatar Exchange Index Drops 39.96 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchange index continued its downward slide Sunday, dropping 39.96 points (-0.29%) when the bourse closed trading at 13,835.01 points from Thursday's 13,874.97 points which was 57.33 points (-0.41%) lower from Wednesday's closing.

The trading value fell to QR 277.654 Million from Thursday's QR 406.171 Million.

The trading volume dropped to 6,084,223 shares from 3,204 transactions compared to 9,679,507 shares from 4,049 transactions on Thursday.

The market capitalization dropped to QR 738.296 Billion from QR 739.243 Billion registered on Thursday.

Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today. Telecoms sector index lost 24.56 points (-1.43%) when it closed at 1,694.44 points.

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 20 ended lower, 13 gained and eight remained unchanged.
