Total Webcasting produced and streamed high level events of CGIAR and CIFOR.

Total Webcasting took part and enabled global participation in events that were part of New York Climate Week where world leaders and influencers converged around the United Nations Climate Summit.
First on September 24th Total Webcasting streamed a high level scientific discussion called the “Colloquium on Forests and Climate: New Thinking for Transformational Change” for The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the Earth Institute at Columbia University (EI/CU). According to CIFOR “the objective of this forum was to assess debate and envision research agenda initiatives and incentives to address emerging and increasing socio-environmental problems around forests and landscapes as well as opportunities that may arise from improved governance investments in and valuation of ecosystems and landscapes. The event was timely as regulators policy makers entrepreneurs and members of civil society are calling for informed assessments and discussion of the state of forests climate and society.” Speakers included US President Barack Obama’s Science Advisor John Holdren National Secretary for R&D Policies of the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation of Brazil Carlos Nobre and the Director of The Research Agriculture and Food Security Center of Columbia University Cheryl Palm. People from all over the world watched the live webcast with diverse locations in North America Europe India Asia Africa and South America. The webcast was even viewed in Manaus Brazil a city at the very heart of the Amazonian rainforest which illustrates how a webcast can allow for people anywhere on the globe to participate in an event.

Viewers from 48 different nations around the world were able to watch the Dialogues live. Both events and the multiple streams reached a global audience via various browsers and devices flawlessly. The events took place at the Columbia University campus.
