UAE- Dewa releases first report on sustainability

According to the report in 2013 5.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide savings have taken place since 2006 due to efficiency improvement and reduced power consumption while water losses have been curbed by 10.4 per cent which reflects a 75 per cent improvement since 1988. The report also stated that Dewa reduced 3281 tonnes of nitrous oxide air emissions.

“Dewa is making every effort guided by the wisdom of our leadership to protect our environment and save our resources by keeping pace with international changes” Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer MD and CEO of Dewa said in his keynote speech.
