S. Korean Japanese FMs to Hold Talks in NY Thursday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Seoul September 24 (QNA) - The foreign ministers of South Korea and Japan will hold talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. South Korea's Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se will meet with Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida on Thursday according to Korea's (KBS WORLD). The two sides are expected to discuss various bilateral issues including a summit proposal made by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to President Park Geun-hye in a letter last week. Yun and Kishida are also expected to address Japan’s wartime sex slavery issue during the foreign ministerial talks. Thursday will mark the first time the two diplomats have met since their meeting during the ASEAN Regional Forum in Myanmar early last month. (QNA)
