(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Ithraa on Tuesday announced that the second Oman Competitiveness Forum (OCF14) will be held on October 29 and 30.
Titled 'Public Sector Innovation: Changing the Business-as-usual Culture' the two-day event will be held at Al Bustan Palace a Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday H H Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said director general of marketing and media at Ithraa said 'OCF14 is influenced by the need for Oman's public sector to be more competitive as it seeks to create jobs and attract investment and talent.
'A key challenge facing the public sector is delivering services to meet the rapidly changing needs of citizens and businesses.'
He added that the top public sector experts from Oman Denmark the Netherlands Spain the US and the UK will take part in the event. 'It will give delegates the opportunity to explore issues that are important for Oman' H H Sayyid Faisal said.
Speaking on the occasion Azzan al Busaidi director general research and IT services Ithraa said 'We are currently witnessing a notable change in the public sector as it scrutinises the services it offers and how they are delivered.
'We need to address the challenges and analyse the trends in technology environment health and education and we intend to showcase this at OCF14.'
