(BOERNE Texas) – Cordillera Ranch – the upscale luxury golf community in the majestic Texas Hill Country – congratulates two Boerne Independent School District high schools for being named among the top 500 in the United States by Newsweek.
Boerne High School and Boerne Champion High School were rated among the U.S.’s top 3 percent in the just-released “America’s Top High Schools 2014” rankings. Currently Cordillera Ranch residents may choose to send their children to either institution. Boerne ISD is considered to be a “destination school district” as many move to the Boerne area to enroll their kids in what is consistently rated as one of the top “major suburban” districts in Texas based on superior graduation attendance and testing rates.
“Obviously we are very pleased to have the hard work that takes place in Boerne schools recognized in this fashion” says Boerne ISD Superintendent David Stelmazewski. “It is truly a reflection on the entire district because a majority of the high school students whose results were part of the study moved up through our elementary and middle schools.”
Newsweek reviewed data from nearly 14500 schools nationwide and selected the top 500 based on criteria like students’ college readiness graduation rates and other factors.
“Cordillera Ranch’s affiliation with Boerne Independent School District is a major point of distinction for many of our residents” says Charlie Hill Vice President of Development at Cordillera Ranch. “The exceptional educational opportunities combined with low property taxes and other enticing attributes are all crucial to making our community such an ideal place for families.”
The recognition from Newsweek builds upon a recent accolade from Family Circle magazine which named Boerne one of the country’s “10 Best Towns for Families.”
“Family” has always been the cornerstone of Cordillera Ranch living. From summer camps to annual holiday-themed activities and kid-friendly atmosphere stretching from the Guadalupe riverside parks to the clubhouse and Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course Cordillera Ranch has set the private club standard for luxury lifestyle and family fun in Texas.
