Clearwater Florida— Game Day Ready  a Florida based company formally launched today on the famous crowd funding site Kickstarter TODAY.  The young company seeks to take on the giants of headwear with their patent pending technology of using authentic game ball leather for its logos and designs rather than traditional embroidery. Game Day Ready was founded by 3 brothers and a family friend that have all played Division I college football (including a national championship at the University of Miami in ’83) and professional football for the likes of Minnesota Vikings Houston Oilers Tamp Bay Bandits (USFL) Houston Gamblers (USFL) and a few Canadian teams.  As fans they knew something had to change when it came to what fans want in headwear. “While traditional caps and hats have changed their style throughout the years the logos and concepts never did.  That’s where we saw an opportunity” said Jim Fitzpatrick partner and co-founder.

As a statement to the company’s creativity Game Day Ready recently debuted its caps at the 2014 Manning Passing Academy in July where every camp counselor and player coach wore the authentic caps including the Manning’s.  One Manning thought they were a huge success at the annual QB camp. “Game Day Ready was well received at the MPA”. In fact from Archie Manning -the patriarch of the MPA "I really liked the cap and the authentic football leather Game Day Ready used for the numbers"

With the recent success of “The Coolest” cooler on Kickstarter where a cooler concept raised $13.2 million dollars over 52 days the founders of Game Day Ready felt Kickstarter was the perfect vehicle to deliver a first glimpse of their new hats to sports fans everywhere.  When asked about the launch on the popular crowd funding site one of the co-founding brothers Christopher Fitzpatrick said “Everyone saw the overwhelming success of The Coolest cooler on Kickstarter and it was a new age design to an old product.  That’s how we feel about our cap logos and designs.  Hopefully there are enough passionate sports fans out there that will demand choices in their favorite team’s headwear and support our efforts to provide options.  We know social media had to play its part and in regards to crowd funding  Kickstarter is the best there is”.

According to one article on PennLive.com  the NFL sales for Reebok would top $500 Million and Nike would reach $750 Million in the NFL apparel world alone.  More impressively those stats are from 3 years ago!  Game Day Ready has designs and concepts for all sports on all levels.

For now Game Day Ready is LIVE and fans everywhere can choose for themselves if the new caps and headwear are worthy of their support.  Only time will tell if they are. “We have been in the R&D stage for an eternity so it would seem. We are finally a go and prepared to see what the world thinks of our unique caps.  I think we are as Game Day Ready as we are going to get” says the third brother Tony Fitzpatrick.
