S. Korea's trade posts its fourth month decrease in August

(MENAFN) South Korea's terms of trade decreased for a fourth straight month in August on a continued rise in import prices, QNA reported.

The country's net terms-of-trade index for goods hits USD89.62 last month, down 0.9% from the previous year, data from the bank of Korea showed.

The annual decline came as imports grew while exports prices fell, South Korea's News Agency showed.

The index is calculated by dividing the index for export prices by that for import prices. The base year is 2010 with a benchmark of 100.
