At Least 17 Militants Killed in Afghanistan


(MENAFN- QNA) At least 17 Taliban militants were killed following military operations conducted by Afghan National Army (ANA) forces in the past 24 hours.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) following a statement said the operations were conducted in central Uruzgan, southern Helmand and eastern Paktia provinces of Afghanistan.

The statement further added that a number of Taliban militants were also injured during the operations, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).

Afghan armed forces also discovered and seized various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives along with 28 rounds of improvised explosive device (IED) during the operations, the statement said.

Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.
