Saudi to build solar power stations in 5 regions

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia announced it is planning to build solar power stations in five regions by the end of next year, Saudi Gazette reported.

The King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE), based in Jeddah, is set to build the solar power stations and the company is also on a nuclear power plant that would be used to produce electricity.

Saudi Arabia has announced last year that it is planning to establish 17 nuclear reactors worth more than USD100 billion by 2030 to meet growing electricity demands.
