Oman LNG to fund purchase of bus for women's association in Sur


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As part of its initiative to promote social development in the country Oman LNG has signed an agreement to fund the purchase of a 30-seater bus worth RO19600 for the Omani Women's Association (OWA) in Sur.

According to a press release the agreement was signed by Khalid al Massan chief external relations officer Oman LNG and Salim bin Juma al Tahri acting general manager of social development in South and North Sharqiyah governorates.

'The acquisition of the bus will empower OWA in Sur as it will help the members commute to and from the association and conduct various activities for women and children' said Massan. The company has supported over 27 OWAs in the sultanate 

Besides the classes it usually conducts for women the OWA in Sur is also planning to open a centre for women where they can engage in various activities like crafts and dress-making.
