Qatar Exchange Index Dips 214.32 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Exchanged ended its green run it enjoyed last week when its index closed Sunday at 14,136.18 points, -214.32 points (-1.49%) lower than 14,350.50 points registered Thursday.

The trading value dropped to QR 604.862 Million from QR 934.357 Million on Thursday while the volume dropped to16,897,247 shares from 5,167 transactions compared to 28,390,115 shares from 7,521 transactions.

The market capitalization reached QR 752.079 Billion.

All sectorial indices ended in the red zone, barring consumer goods and services which gained 0.24% when its index closed today at 7,602.29 points.

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 42 saw trading today. From these 32 declined, six gained and four remained unchanged.

Zad Holding Company share gained QR 2.20 (+2.44%) when it closed at QR 92.40 from just three transactions with a volume of 836 shares.

From real estate sector, Ezdan Holding Company saw hectic exchanges with a volume of 8,681,323 changing hands from 898 transactions. It closed the day at QR 19.89, marginally down by 10 dirhams.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) share lost QR 5 (-2.35%) when it closed trading at QR 208 as banking and finance sector index dropped 3,467.21 points (-1.72%).

Qatar Islamic Bank dropped QR 2.10 (-1.75%) when it closed at QR 117.90.
