I have been living in London for the past four decades. I have always been interested in the authentic traditional values I grew up with in India. My mother used to practice Meditation every morning. Though she passed away her deep chants of mantras still ring in my ears. In my late fifties I was detected with an advanced stage of cancer. After a major surgery and prolonged radiation my health broke down completely. I was attending two hospitals and swallowing 13 pills every day. The sudden health fiasco took away my will to live. My husband thinking that a change may do me good brought me to Calcutta. There I met Anindya Das. I enrolled in his Yoga School of Meditation. Patiently listening to my health predicaments he took the challenge of giving me a clean bill of health. He started off with one to one lessons coaching easy yoga postures followed by meditation and breathing exercises. He emphasized the benefit of correct breathing. When a baby is born the doctor nurses and parents wait anxiously for the babys first cry. If there is any delay there is a panic. The doctor lifts the baby by his legs and slaps his back. The baby gives out a shrill cry. All tension melts away. The baby is breathing! Thereafter as the baby grows no one bothers about his or her breathing any more. No one tells the growing child about the great benefits of the correct way to breathe or the benefits of breathing exercises. Yet breath is the link between life and death. Proper breathing exercises rid the body of toxins removes energy blockages and rejuvenates the heart lungs and the brain. Anindya puts emphasis on right methods of breathing.
Within six weeks physically I was feeling stronger and mentally I felt relaxed. I became addicted to healthy diet and stopped taking medicines.
Having benefited so much from yoga/meditation I have resolved to persuade the world at large to take interest in a straightforward inexpensive tested and proven method to keep fit.
