S. Korea to Sign FTA with Canada Tuesday

(MENAFN- QNA) South Korea will sign a free trade agreement with Canada on Tuesday.

Senior presidential economic adviser Ahn Jong-beom told a news briefing on Sunday that the two countries will officially sign a bilateral FTA, which will lift tariffs on 99 percent of products within ten years of the agreement's implementation, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) website.

South Korean Commerce Minister Yoon Sang-jick is set to sign the deal with his Canadian counterpart Ed Fast early on Tuesday Korean time, in the presence of South Korea's President Park Geun-hye and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
