College of Pharmacy Wins Top GCC Award


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar University's College of Pharmacy's (QU-CPH) Continuing Professional Pharmacy Development (CPPD) programme won the 'Outstanding Education Award' at the GCC Pharmaceutical Congress held in Dubai.

The award is for the best programme covering community needs such as patient safety, pharmacoviligance, health re-engineering and clinical pharmacy, adopting training and developing academic staff, conducting research-related activities, and facilitating recruitment, QU said Saturday.

Dubai hosted the GCC Pharmaceutical Congress held from September 14 to 17.

Accepting the award, CPPD Coordinator and CPH associate professor Dr Nadir Kheir said, "We are proud to receive such an honour for this programme which continues to grow and have a strong impact on Qatar's pharmacy and healthcare sector." CPH Dean Dr Ayman El-Kadi said, "This award underlines our best efforts to add value to the goals of Qatar National Vision and the National Health Strategy. It also advances the College's vision to be the best in the Middle East."
