(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The stars of 'Disney on Ice presents Rockin' Ever After' arrived here this week as preparations began for the show, to be held at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) from September 24 to 27.
It has taken 420 man hours to create the arena for the show. For many of the 100 cast and crew members, who began arriving in Doha on September 16, this is their first visit to Qatar.
Performance Director Jackie Soames said the cast and crew were looking forward to experiencing some of Doha's Arabian culture.
"The majority of the cast has never been to the Middle East but have heard a lot about Qatari culture and tradition," said Soames. "Many have spoken about exploring the city while others are keen to go on a desert safari. Ultimately, we are all thrilled to be here and I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we're looking forward to bringing some of the Disney magic to Doha."
Until recently, Disney on Ice presents Rockin' Ever After had only toured the United States. The show, which takes audiences on a breathtaking adventure with their favourite Disney characters, began its world tour in Dubai before coming to Doha.
Produced by Feld Entertainment, presented by Qatar Tourism Authority and its Events Diary, OnQatar and organised by Sport and Entertainment Solutions in association with q.media Events, the extravaganza will bring together all-time favourite Disney characters from stories including Disney€¢Pixar's BRAVE, and Disney's Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast, in a visually rich production. Complemented by award-winning music, stunning choreography and beautiful costumes, the show will deliver a lifetime of memories.

Tickets for the show cost QR175, QR275 and QR475, with VIP seats costing QR1,000 and Rink-side Royal seats QR2,000. Tickets are available at all Virgin Megastores and online at www.virginmegastore.qa.
