EasyJet signs USD2b order for 27 A320


(MENAFN) EasyJet, the low-cost British airline, announced it had finalized a USD2 billion deal to buy 27 single-aisle A320 jets from Airbus, the European aircraft maker, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The company had confirmed last year that a deal to purchase 135 A320 aircraft was being negotiated, the deal will include 100 fuel-efficient A320neos, which Airbus is planning to start delivering delivering next year.

"EasyJet has reached agreement with Airbus to exercise existing purchase rights over 27 current generation A320 aircraft for delivery between 2015 and 2018," the airline said in a statement.
