Pakistan Army Shfit 55,967 Affectees to Safer Places


(MENAFN- QNA) Pakistan Army troops have rescued 55,967 persons to safer places and distributed 1,816 tons ration of flood hit areas during relief and rescue operation in recent floods.

About 24 medical camps have been established where army doctors have treated 17,182 patients, according to (Pakistan Radio).

Besides, 24 relief camps have also been established in major cities including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan and Karachi.

Up to 90.2 ton ration collected in the relief camps so far has been dispatched to flood affected areas.

Meanwhile, Corps Commander Multan Lt. Gen. Abid Pervez said that Pakistan Army will continue to extend all possible cooperation for the rehabilitation of flood affected people.
