(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Wednesday at Bayan Palace, with the presence of His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, top state military and security officials who congratulated him on the UN honoring and his proclamation by the United Nations as "Humanitarian Leader" and the State of Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center." His Highness the Amir, with the presence of His Highness Crown Prince, received Acting Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and top commanders of Kuwaiti Army.
The officials congratulated His Highness the Amir on being honored and named "Humanitarian Leader" by the UN.
Addressing His Highness, on behalf of the gathering, Sheikh Mohammad said the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir was well-deserved and is a source of pride for all Kuwaitis.
In response, His Highness the Amir thanked the Minister and the Army officials for their good sentiments and lauded their loyalty to "the dear homeland".
His Highness the Amir, with the presence of His Highness Crown Prince, also received Acting Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and top interior ministry officials who came to congratulate His Highness the Amir on the UN honoring.
On behalf of the attendants, Sheikh Mohammad delivered a short speech to congratulate His Highness the Amir on the UN honoring.
His Highness the Amir welcomed the top officials and expressed great appreciation of their sacrifices to preserve Kuwait's security and stability as well as the safety of all citizens and residents. His Highness also wished them success in their work.
His Highness the Amir, with the presence of His Highness Crown Prince, also received Deputy Commander of National Guard Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and top National Guard commanders who congratulated him on the UN honoring.
Sheikh Mishaal delivered a congratulatory speech on the occasion on behalf of His Highness the Amir.
For his part, His Highness the Amir welcomed the attendants, thanked them for their good sentiments and wished them success in their mission.
His Highness the Amir, with the presence of His Highness Crown Prince, also received Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Acting Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Director General of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD)Major General Yusuef Abdullah Al-Ansari and several senior KFSD leaders.
The Minister and KFSD officials congratulated His Highness the Amir on the UN honoring and His proclamation by the UN a "Humanitarian Leader". During the meeting, Al-Ansari presented to His Highness the Amir a copy of Kuwait's firefighting code.
The meetings were attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and top state officials.
