Qatar Partakes in GCC Municipal Affairs Ministers Meeting
(MENAFN- QNA) The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, will participate in the meeting of the Ministers concerned with the Municipal Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, which will be held on Thursday in Kuwait.
HE the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Khalifa Al-Thani will head the Qatari delegation to the meeting.
Senior officials involved in the affairs of municipalities in the GCC countries have held a preparatory meeting to discuss a range of topics related to municipal work, including the progress regarding GCC Prize for Municipal Work, as well as city beautification.
The preparatory meeting discussed the specialized workshops in the field of municipal work, in addition to considering the development of municipal training centers and departments and approving the recommendations of the joint workshop with the United Nations.
