(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Two South Asian women were seriously injured after they jumped from their first-floor apartment in Al Yarmook area during a police raid in the early hours of Tuesday.A police source said that following information obtained from an informer about illegal activities were being carried out in the apartment CID officers planned a raid to arrest the occupants red-handed.
After verifying the information which showed that the flat was being used as a prostitution den the police raided it.
The two women jumped down from flat to avoid being arrested red-handed.
The police called an ambulance and rushed them to Al Kuwaiti Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment for their wounds and fractures.
According to the police the two women — identified as 34-year-old F.B. and 26-year-old A.R.R. — who are staying in the country illegally were being part of a prostitution racket.
