Kuwaiti Qadsia beats Indonesian Persipura 4-2 in AFC Cup semi-final


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti Qadsia football team defeated Indonesian Persipura Jayapura 4-2, in the first leg of their AFC Cup semi-final clash at Kuwait SC Stadium in Kaifan on Tuesday.

In the first half, Qadsia professional Striker Danijel Subotic scored the opening goal from a header at the 12th minute, however the Indonesian team was able to equalize nine minutes later by their Striker Titus Bonai after a powerful shot left of Qadsia goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Khaldi.

The Indonesian team continued its excellent form and was able to benefit from an own goal at the 31st minute by Talal Al-Amer.

In the second half, Qadsia was able to regroup and made the equalizer at the 64th minute thanks to midfielder Saif Al-Hashan.

Two minutes later, Qadsia's star striker Bader Al-Muttawa scored the third goal from just outside the penalty area.

In a brilliant shot, the fourth goal for Qadsia was scored by Subotic at the 77th minute.

The away match will be held in Indonesia in two weeks.
