Oman has potential to attract more business Expert

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman has the potential to attract more business from across the world Gamal Sadek regional director - Middle East International Congress and Convention Association has said.

Sadek was addressing a day-long workshop on the prospects of convention centres on Monday. Held at the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) the workshop was conducted by Sadek and Julian Taylor director of business development Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Both spoke on the importance of convention centres in boosting tourism and economy. Sadek said 'Over the years the region has emerged as a hub for hosting meetings conferences and symposiums. Oman with its unique landscape and multicultural environment has the potential to attract more business.'

Julian said the new Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre scheduled to be completed by 2016 will bring more revenue for the country. The event was held under the auspices of H E Maitha al Mahrouqi Undersecretary in MoT.
