Oman Office Show opens at international exhibition centre


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The three-day Oman Office Show 2014 the sultanate's annual trade fair for office solutions and productive workspaces began at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on Monday.

The event organised by Global Exhibitions & Conferences (GEC) was formally inaugurated by Eng Khalfan bin Saleh al Naabi advisor in the Ministry of Sports Affairs. Also in attendance were a number of government and private sector dignitaries.

In his speech Eng Naabi said 'Today's office environment has undergone dramatic changes that have had important ramifications for efficiency productivity and employee well-being.  Organisations – government or private – must constantly look at ways to upgrade the office space through the deployment of the latest systems and technologies.'

Even modest improvements to the office environment perhaps through investments in ergonomic furniture and better lighting can bring about major improvements in office productivity. The government for its part is also committed to periodically modernizing its offices to bring them in line with international standards he said.

Architectural and design practices art and décor audiovisual equipment ceiling materials curtains and blinds furniture and furnishings fit-outs and interior designs filing and storage systems modular systems office automation and solutions partitions and screens paints wall coverings and floorings and security solutions are on display. 

'Since it was first inaugurated in September 2012 the Oman Office Show has grown by leaps and bounds to be a benchmark expo of goods and services that make up the office equipment systems and furniture space in Oman' commented C J Paul CEO of GEC.

He further said 'Today it's the most eagerly-awaited expo that focuses exclusively on a segment of the design interiors and fittings industry that is growing exponentially in trend with Oman's ongoing infrastructure construction commercial and retailing boom.'

Opening hours of the show are from 10am to 1.30pm and from 4pm to 8.30pm.
