Knowledge Oman founder honoured with Visionary Leadership Award in India

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Tariq Hilal al Barwani founder and president of Knowledge Oman the leading community knowledge sharing platform in the sultanate has been honoured with the 'Visionary Leadership Award'. 

Barwani was given the award at the Knowledge Management Summit 2014 in Bengaluru India on Friday.

The Visionary Leadership Award recognises individuals who have formulated the necessary strategy in a chosen field and inspired a team to reach the goals in materialising the vision.

'Tariq's vision was to create a platform that would bring knowledge to the society. Today that vision has become a reality as members projects and partners contribute to valuable knowledge sharing in the sultanate' said Dr L R Bhatia conference director of the Knowledge Management Summit.

Barwani said 'Being recognised internationally for a project created locally means a lot. This is an honour for Knowledge Oman our beloved country Oman and my family too.'
