(MENAFN- QNA) Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby met here today with Argentina's Foreign Minister Hector Timerman.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual concern and coordination of prospects of cooperation with the Arab League as well as terrorism combating efforts in the region in the light of Latin American state's care for Middle East issues.
The Argentinian minister stressed his country's support for the Palestinian cause as Argentina will chair the UN Security Council next month.
He also asked the Arab League to support a draft resolution which his country forwarded to the UN General Assembly for the Argentina's sovereign debt restructuring. The Arab League General Secretariat responded positively to the issue asking member countries to support the project.
